Zirconia grinding medium balls

Zirconia grinding balls are also known as yttrium-stabilized zirconia beads, 95 zirconia ceramic balls, zirconia balls, zirconium beads, and the chemical name is ZrO₂+HfO₂. Zirconia grinding balls have good roundness, smooth surface, and high fluidity; they have pearl-like luster and smooth working spherical surface, dense internal structure, specific gravity of 6.0, strong pressure resistance and high wear resistance, and are used as ultra-fine grinding balls. Media Zirconia microbeads are ideal products for grinding media.

The normal size of zirconia grinding balls is 0.1-50mm. Small balls are generally rolled and formed, and large balls are pressed and formed.

Application of zirconia grinding balls
Zirconia grinding balls can be widely used in fine ceramics, electronic parts materials, lithium battery materials, inks, coatings, nanomaterial production and other fields, and can help achieve nano-level grinding, crushing and dispersion. In recent years, it has been used in the crushing projects of lithium iron phosphate, carbon fiber, and lithium battery anode materials.

In new energy lithium iron phosphate, beads of 0.9-1.1 are generally used for grinding carbon nanotubes, and 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3mm are used for grinding silicon-carbon anodes.

For grinding in a ball mill, large balls are mainly used, such as 30, 25, 20, 15 and other specifications. Large and small beads are mixed together for grinding. It can be used for grinding and crushing powder, slurry, ore, etc. 

In the paint and paint industry, 1.6-1.8 and 1.8-2.0 grinding balls are mostly used.Nano-grinding requires the use of zirconia microbeads to grind to tens of nanometers.
